Expanding 'We the People': Literary Perspectives from Miami’s Latino Authors
The Cuatrogatos Foundation launched its literary series, Expanding “We the People”: Literary Perspectives from Miami’s Latino Authors, featuring prominent literary creators from the city of Miami.
This program is funded in part by Florida Humanities with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy demands wisdom. Additional support is provided by the Jacarlene Foundation.
The first session took place on June 12 and featured poet Lizette Espinosa, who presented a reading entitled Decir del tiempo (Speaking of Time).
The next presentation, La Ventana amarilla (The Yellow Window), a literary reading by poet and fiction writer Lleny Díaz, will take place on August 1 at 8:30 p.m.
The series will continue in September and October. The participating authors will engage with the public through structured presentations, moderated conversations, and interactive discussions.
All events take place at the Artefactus Cultural Center, whose invaluable collaboration we gratefully acknowledge. Address: 12302 SW 133rd Ct, Miami, FL 33186.
Admission is free.
