Writer Lleny Díaz to Present the Literary Reading The Yellow Window
Writer Lleny Díaz will present the literary reading The Yellow Window on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in an event organized by the Fundación Cuatrogatos in collaboration with Artefactus Cultural Project. This program is part of the literary series Expanding “We the People”: Literary Perspectives from Miami’s Latino Authors, made possible through partial funding from Florida Humanities, with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy demands wisdom. Born in Placetas, Cuba, in 1975, Lleny Díaz is the author of the poetry collections Sobre mi espalda desnuda otro silencio vive (2012), Placenta colectiva (2016), Se miran los caballos (2018), and Líquida (2024). In 2012, she was a finalist for the Nuevos Valores de la Poesía Hispana Prize, presented by Ediciones Baquiana and the Centro Cultural Español en Miami. Her work has also appeared in print and online literary journals in Cuba, Spain, and the United States, and her poems have been included in several anthologies, including Poetas cubanos en Miami and Crear en femenino. She was also the editor of the poetry section, Volar los techos, at Hypermedia Publishing.
